Cramerton, North Carolina

Founded in 1906 as the mill village of Mayesworth on the South Fork Catawba River, the town was renamed in 1921 by textile engineer Stuart W. Cramer; the mills were sold to Burlington Industries in 1946, and the town incorporated in 1967.
